Build a Photographic
Memory
for the Bar Exam

Memorize black-letter rules using spaced repetition, the science-backed upgrade to flashcards that puts facts in long-term memory.

"Cueprep has made my bar prep so much more manageable. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who struggles with MEE memorization, I explored different memorization/AI programs, and this is by far my favorite one"

"Saw your post and immediately went to your site. Came back to say this is the best tool for rule statement memorization I've come by. 10/10. I like how there's not too much included in the rules which sometimes make it nearly impossible to memorize. The spaced retention and tools/schedule built in on the site is great as well. Definitely see you going far with this site!"

"Used cueprep for the Feb 2026 exam and passed. I started late but I believe if I started earlier, I would have gotten a lot more back letter law memorized sooner. Identifying and memorizing the keywords was super helpful and it helped me a lot - especially with Constitutional Law. The developer of the platform is also super esponsive."

u/Oloegg

"I love cueprep. I know everyone's different but I guess it fits my learning style and I'm remembering the rules as I review and refresh them. I think it works for me because I have to type out the rule in my words and how I would say it."

u/Advanced-Junket5418

"I love cueprep already! Thank you for your service to us poor, defeated retakers!"

u/Wonderful-Pin4485

"I have this app bookmarked for when it's time to prepare for July. It's a fantastic way to memorize rules."

u/SinVerguenza04

"this is super cool! memorizing rule statements is my hardest and weakest area"

We Write the Cards. You Build the Memory.

Creating and updating flashcards is a full-time job. We do the heavy lifting: curating 2,200+ black-letter rules across core subjects and state-specific law, keeping them accurate and exam-relevant, so you can spend every minute actually learning the law.

  • All MBE + MEE subjects + state-specific law
  • Regularly updated for accuracy
  • Organized by topic for targeted review

No credit card, no commitment.

Backed By Neuroscience

Four proven techniques that med students have used for decades to memorize thousands of facts. We bring the same science to bar prep.

Spaced Repetition

Review at the perfect moment—not too soon, not too late. We predict exactly when you're about to forget a rule and help you review at the right time. This strengthens your memory with minimal effort.

Active Recall

Flipping flashcards feels productive, but reading answers doesn't build memory— retrieving them does. You type out rules from memory, building the muscle memory to reproduce rule statements under exam pressure. By test day, your fingers know the words before your brain catches up.

Interleaving

Mix subjects for deeper understanding. Rather than studying one subject at a time, we intelligently mix Contracts, Torts, Evidence, and more. This helps you make connections between different areas of law.

Bite-Sized Rules

No more memorizing giant rule blocks. We break black-letter law into digestible chunks—one concept per card. Easier to retain, less panic if you blank, and you only recall what's relevant to the fact pattern.

What Bar Takers Are Saying

"I used to recite rules to my dog every morning. Now I just type them out here and actually know what I'm forgetting. The typing forces you to really know it."

Sarah K.
Feb 2025 Bar, Illinois

"I used to handwrite rules every morning and tape them to my wall. This does the same thing but actually tracks what I know vs. what I'm still forgetting."

James M.
July 2025 Bar, California

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this replace Barbri/Themis?

No—CuePrep is a supplement, not a replacement. Your bar prep course teaches you how to analyze issues and write essays. We focus on one thing: drilling the black-letter rules into long-term memory so they're there when you need them.

How is this different from Anki or Quizlet?

Community decks are hit-or-miss—outdated rules, inconsistent formatting, cards that give away the answer. Ours are written by our team and designed for real recall: you type from memory instead of flipping and thinking "yeah, I knew that." We also handle the algorithm tuning so you study, not tinker with settings.

When should I start using this?

Ideally 8-12 weeks before your exam, but even 4 weeks of consistent daily reviews makes a difference. The earlier you start, the more rules you'll have locked in by test day.

How much time do I need per day?

Most users spend 15-20 minutes per day on their review sessions. Quality beats quantity—short, focused sessions work best.

What subjects are covered?

We cover all MBE and MEE subjects, plus state-specific law for NY, CA, FL, TX, OH, GA, and VA. Select your jurisdiction during signup and we'll tailor your study plan with the right state-specific content.

Is there a mobile app?

No app download needed. Visit cueprep.com on your phone and add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. Works offline after the first load—study on your commute.

Can I track my progress?

Yes. Your dashboard shows mastery levels for each subject, highlights weak areas that need more review, and tracks your study streaks.

Do you have MBE practice questions?

Not yet—CuePrep focuses purely on memorizing the rules. Your bar prep course handles practice questions. We handle making sure the rules stick.
