For years, divers called the coral's green glow a sunscreen, a shield against the tropical sun. But a 2009 survey found the brightest colonies growing in the deepest shade. The glow, it seems, does the opposite job: it helps the coral gather what little light reaches it.

The passage suggests the coral's glow most likely:

Ashields the coral from strong sunlight.
Bhelps the coral use dim light.
Cattracts divers to the reef.
Dappears only in shallow water.

TI-84 or Desmos

Paper test with a TI-84 in your bag, or the online test with Desmos built in. Every move is shown on both, key by key.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I need per day?

Your daily plan sets a number for each subject you study: 10 English and 10 Math questions, a Reading passage and a Science passage. Your weakest topics come first.

What does CuePrep cover?

English, Math, Reading and Science, with Writing on the way. English, Math and Science questions come back on a schedule, weakest topics first. For Math: 29 calculator moves, each shown on the TI-84 and Desmos, plus the formulas ACT expects you to know by heart. For English: the grammar and punctuation rules the test keeps asking about. For Reading: passages and two annotating games that teach you to mark the proof. For Science: the outside facts the passages assume you know.

Can I try CuePrep for free?

Yes. The 3-day trial is free, with no card.

Which calculator should I practice on?

The one you'll use on test day. On the paper test you bring your own, and for most students that's a TI-84. The online test has Desmos built in. Every calculator move here is shown on both.

Is there a mobile app?

CuePrep works great on mobile browsers - just visit the site on your phone. Our native Android app is already available, and the iOS app is coming in 2026.
